Bodegas Ontañón’s Crianza is a benchmark Rioja crafted from estate-owned vineyards in Rioja Oriental, south of the Ebro near Sierra Yergas. A blend of two traditional varieties is vinified separately and aged for 12 months in 60% American and 40% French oak (new and used), followed by another year in bottle before release.

 

TASTING NOTES: Intense aromas of black cherry, plum, and warm spice emerge from the glass. On the palate the wine reveals plush red and dark fruit balanced by fresh acidity, smooth tannins, and a subtle herbal-mineral finish.

 

FOOD PAIRINGS: Excellent with roast chicken, game, pork, meaty pasta dishes, and aged cheeses.
