Hungary (Tokaji) 80% Furmint, 20% Zéta ABV: 11.5%
From the historic Dorgó Vineyard within Domaine Disznókő, this 5 Puttonyos Tokaji Aszú captures the essence of Hungary’s most celebrated sweet wine. Grown on volcanic clay and rhyolite soils at 150–200 meters of elevation, the grapes develop remarkable concentration and acidity. The Aszú berries are macerated in finished wine or fermenting must to extract flavor and texture before gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel. The result is a beautifully balanced dessert wine that marries richness with vibrant freshness.
TASTING NOTES: Brilliant golden hue with aromas of citrus zest, honey, and warm spice. The palate is luscious yet lifted, offering layers of apricot, orange marmalade, and candied ginger balanced by bright, mouthwatering acidity. Finishes long, silky, and beautifully spiced.
FOOD PAIRINGS: Perfect with blue cheeses, foie gras, or fruit-based desserts like tarte tatin and poached pears. Also shines alongside savory pairings such as roasted duck or spicy Asian cuisine.
