Les Petites Sardines is a cooperative cuvée from the Vignerons du Pallet—ten growers based in the Cru commune of Le Pallet—crafted to showcase classic coastal Muscadet character. The wine is vinified with pneumatic press, native yeast fermentation, and aged sur lie in concrete vats to preserve freshness and build texture.
TASTING NOTES: Pale straw with silver-green highlights. The nose opens with sea spray, fresh citrus (lemon, grapefruit zest), green apple, and delicate floral accents. On the palate, crisp and lively, offering brisk saline minerality, green apple, lemon, and a faint pearlescent texture from lees contact.
FOOD PAIRINGS: Ideal with oysters, shellfish (like steamed clams or shrimp,) moules marinière, grilled fish, goat cheese, fresh spring vegetables, and light picnic fare—including sardine toast to honor its playful name.
