Weingut Tesch, a family-run estate in Langenlonsheim, Nahe, has been producing wine for over 300 years. Under the guidance of Dr. Martin Tesch, the winery focuses on dry Rieslings that express the unique characteristics of their single vineyards. The St. Remigiusberg vineyard, one of the smallest and most esteemed sites in the Nahe region, is characterized by weathered volcanic soils rich in porphyry and iron. The 2023 vintage is considered one of the best in over 25 years, showcasing the estate's commitment to quality and terroir expression.
TASTING NOTES: The 2023 St. Remigiusberg Riesling trocken offers a vibrant bouquet of citrus foliage and zest. On the palate, it is energetic and racy, with a core of ripe, juicy Mirabelle plum and zesty citrus. The wine is bone-dry, with a saline and savory finish, and exhibits a beautifully complete and serene character.
FOOD PAIRINGS: This Riesling pairs well with steamed fish and shellfish, sushi, salads, smoked or salted meats, pork, light Asian dishes, and creamy cheeses.
