Part of Paritua’s Stone Paddock collection, Scarlet 2018 is a vibrant Bordeaux-style blend from gravelly Bridge Pa Triangle soils. It’s crafted in a hands-on, terroir-focused manner—harvested by hand, destemmed, cold-soaked, fermented in closed vats, and aged up to 12 months in barrels—before blending and bottling under screw cap.

 

TASTING NOTES: Nose: Rich scents of Black Doris plum, blackberry, cassis, and violet, overlaid with five-spice, cedar, subtle smoky oak, and hints of licorice and tobacco. Concentrated dark fruit—roasted plum, cassis, chocolate—supported by firm, ripe tannins and balanced by minerality ("stony soil moments"). Elegant structure leads to a long, dusty- cocoa–tinged finish. 

 

FOOD PAIRINGS: Exceptional with roasted meats—lamb, beef, game—as well as mushroom dishes, hearty stews, and earthy cheeses.
