This is the first in Jorge Ordóñez’s celebrated series of sweet Moscatel wines, crafted from estate and partner vineyards averaging ~40 years old in the steep, slate-rich slopes of Axarquía. Harvest is performed late, hand-picked, and then the fermentation is halted by chilling around 10–12% alcohol to preserve intense varietal aromatics and natural sweetness. Fermentation and aging occur in stainless steel, with 6 months sur lie in tank before bottling.

 

TASTING NOTES: Light gold in color. Aromas of pure honey, candied apricot, lychee, and white flowers give way to a lush, opulent palate with candied fruit, floral spice, and bright, balancing acidity on a long, lingering finish (turn0search1, turn0search0, turn0search8).

 

FOOD PAIRINGS: Ideal with foie gras, creamy desserts, fruit-based desserts, or even herb-infused savory appetizers. Also delightful as an aromatic aperitif on its own.
