Adelsheim Vineyard was one of Oregon’s pioneering estates, established in the early 1970s by David Adelsheim, with vineyards extending across multiple sub‑regions of the Willamette Valley. The Staking Claim Chardonnay (2020) is sourced exclusively from the Chehalem Mountains AVA—a region with volcanic and sedimentary soils and cooler maritime-influenced climate that yields concentrated, minerally whites.

 

TASTING NOTES: Subtle aromas of crisp pear, orange blossom, honeysuckle, and allspice emerge on the nose. The palate unfolds with lemon drop candies, green apple, golden delicious pear, and honeydew melon, framed by bright citrus acidity and a flinty, mineral backbone. Texturally refined and balanced, it finishes with a clean, tight length and gentle toastiness from oak aging
