The 2017 Kabaj Ravan is a skin-contact white wine from Slovenia's Goriška Brda region, crafted by winemaker Jean-Michel Morel. Made from Zeleni Sauvignon (also known as Tocai Friulano), this wine undergoes a week-long maceration on the skins, followed by aging in large oak vats and used barriques for one year. The grapes are sourced from 50-year-old vines, including a plot in Italy, contributing to the wine's depth and character.
TASTING NOTES: This wine presents a straw-yellow hue with green reflections. The nose offers herbal, citric, and spicy aromas. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a glossy texture, featuring flavors of ripe peach, pear, and apricot kernel. The finish is fresh and pleasant, with a medium length.
