Jean Bourdy’s 2020 Côtes du Jura Rouge is a traditional Jura red made from a field blend of native varietals. The Bourdy family, with winemaking roots tracing back to the 16th century, employs minimalist cellar practices and biodynamic farming to craft wines that express terroir with clarity and finesse. This cuvée is aged in large, neutral oak barrels and bottled without fining or filtration.
TASTING NOTES: Earthy and aromatic with notes of tart red cherry, cranberry, damp forest floor, and a hint of smoky spice. Light-bodied and elegant with vibrant acidity and a fine mineral backbone.
FOOD PAIRINGS: Perfect with mushroom dishes, roast poultry, raclette, or Jura cheeses like Comté. Its bright acidity and savory profile also make it a natural fit for charcuterie.
