The 2021 Union Sacré "L’Orange" Gewürztraminer is a distinctive orange wine crafted from 100% Gewürztraminer grapes sourced from the Los Ositos Vineyard in Arroyo Seco, California. This wine undergoes a 40-day skin fermentation using native yeasts at 55°F, followed by aging in a 900-gallon wooden tank. It is bottled unfiltered, preserving its natural character. 

 

TASTING NOTES: Aromatic notes of orange blossom, honeysuckle, potpourri, and chamomile dominate the nose. On the palate, it offers a full texture with flavors of stone fruits like mango, peach, and apricot, complemented by spicy hints of ginger and cinnamon. 

 

FOOD PAIRINGS: This wine pairs well with spicy Thai cuisine, roasted chicken, and apricot tart, making it versatile for both savory and sweet dishes.
