Langhe DOC Nebbiolo Claré JC is a unique wine. It's our reinterpretation of an ancient Nebbiolo, when its airiness was appreciated freshness. The wine is bottled very early, so as to remain sweet and with one beautiful drinking energy.

Tasting notes

Light ruby red color. Live aromas of cherry and pomegranate nectar. The bouquet is made even more complex by orange blossoms, sweet spices and mineral tones. In the mouth, the Clare JC 2019 is vibrant, with red fruits and spicy tones and a thirst-quenching acidity.

Pairs well with

The tannins are silky and make it an ideal wine to be served at cellar temperature in the warm months, in combination with appetizers, spicy, delicate fried dishes and barbecue.

G.D. Vajra, a family estate in Barolo, draws from organic farming traditions established over half a century ago. The 2023 Claré J.C. is a modern revival of a 1606 Nebbiolo style, inspired by House of Savoy’s records. It’s made from young-vine Nebbiolo, lightly whole-cluster fermented, briefly macerated, and bottled soon after fermentation to preserve freshness.

TASTING NOTES: Bright ruby in hue, the nose shows mountain berries, raspberry, cassis, inner florals, and a hint of licorice. On the palate, it's medium-bodied with a slight frizzante sparkle, offering orange peel, fresh cherry, crushed raspberry, and soft, crunchy texture, finishing lifted and refreshing.

FOOD PAIRINGS: Delicious when lightly chilled — ideal with smoked meats, charcuterie, grilled salmon, mushroom pasta, or Parmigiano-Reggiano.
