Washington State’s most premium wine region, the Columbia Valley AVA, offers a diverse range of soils and more sunshine hours during the growing season than most key wine regions in the world. Washington’s warm days and cool nights allows the Columbia Valley to produce fruit-forward wines with naturally balanced acidity.
TASTING NOTES: Aromas and flavors of cocoa, coconut, baking spice and black cherry run throughout. There's a pleasant balance across it all, with the fruit and barrel both playing a big part in the show. Sumptuous and smoky, erupting with complexities of black currant, cracked spice and hints of tobacco leaf.
FOOD PAIRINGS: Braised short ribs, veal chops, lamb shanks, roasted winter vegetables and, of course, burgers.
