The vines are located on very poor clay and some calcareous soils at an altitude of between 300 and 500 metres. Terrain of the Tarragona region in the Baix Penedès and Alt Camp counties. They are all vines from the province of Tarragona that originate from the Baix Penedès and Alt Camp, so it is a wine variety without a DO status, a wine made from the vines close to the farmhouse.
TASTING NOTES: Bold and fresh, with good intensity fruit, peaches, mature pineapple, and soft pears; plenty of flavor and displaying a strong Mediterranean character, thyme, lavender, and fennel notes, broad and fine on the palate with good fruit definition and freshness.
FOOD PAIRINGS: Xarel-lo pairs naturally with lobster, king crab, grilled prawns, puff pastry appetizer and asparagus salad.
