Ridge Vineyards' 2023 Paso Robles Zinfandel hails from the historic Benito Dusi Ranch, planted in 1922 and farmed by the Dusi family for generations. The 2023 vintage experienced cooler summer temperatures, leading to one of the latest harvests in the past 40 years, which helped retain acidity and balance in the fruit. The grapes were hand-harvested between October 2–12, fermented with native yeasts, and aged for 12 months in air-dried American oak barrels (15% new). ​

 

TASTING NOTES: This Zinfandel offers aromas of jammy red confiture and subtle toasty oak. On the palate, it is medium-full bodied with a soft mouthfeel, abundant raspberry fruit, a hint of mint, and ample acidity. ​

 

FOOD PAIRINGS: Pairs well with spicy Italian sausages, grilled meats, and hearty pasta dishes.
