Domaine Cheveau Saint-Amour "La Villa Violette" Gamay, 2019

Domaine Cheveau, a family-run estate established in 1950, is located in the heart of the Mâconnais region. The 2019 "La Villa Violette" Saint-Amour is crafted from Gamay vines planted in 1963 and 2018 across four parcels in the Saint-Amour commune. The vineyards are situated on altered red granite soils with sandy compositions, contributing to the wine's unique character. The grapes are hand-harvested, destemmed, and undergo sulfur-free vinification. The wine is aged for ten months on lees in stainless steel tanks, resulting in a fruity and gourmand expression of Gamay.

TASTING NOTES: This wine offers notes of wild blackberries and spices, with a beautiful roundness in the mouth and crunchy fruit.
