Established in the late 1800s by Carlo Vietti, the Vietti winery is nestled in the heart of the Langhe hills in Castiglione Falletto, Piedmont. Over four generations, the estate has expanded to include some of the region's most esteemed vineyards. Notably, in the 1960s, Alfredo Currado, a pivotal figure in the winery's history, pioneered the production of single-vineyard Barolo crus and the revival of the Arneis grape, earning Vietti a reputation for innovation and excellence.
TASTING NOTES: This Barbera showcases a ruby red hue with enticing aromas of ripe red cherries and vanilla. Floral notes of violets complement a rounded body, distinguishing it from its Barbera d'Asti counterpart. On the palate, it reveals bright acidity, sweet tannins, and well-integrated oak, culminating in a lingering cherry finish.
FOOD PAIRINGS: This versatile wine pairs excellently with appetizers, rich salads, grilled seasonal vegetables, soups, pasta, veal, pork, and chicken with light sauces.
