Château de Saint Cosme, established in 1490 and located in Gigondas, is renowned for producing benchmark wines of the Rhône Valley. The 2021 Les Deux Albion is crafted from grapes grown in the Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages communes of Plan de Dieu, Saint Maurice, and Cairanne. The vineyards feature schist soils and are farmed organically. The wine is co-fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for 18 months in cement vats and wooden tanks.
TASTING NOTES: This seductive red offers ripe red fruit and toasted aniseed notes, complemented by invigorating layers of white and black pepper. Hints of black tea and iron shavings add energy to the harmonious, medium- to full-bodied frame.
