Pablo Padin "Segrel" Albarino, 2022
Spain, (Rías Baixas DO)
100% Albarino
12.5%
This winery is located in the heart of the Salnús Valley, the original home of the Albariño grape as well as the oldest sub-zone of DO Rías Baixas. In 1984, the Padín-Garrido family started up a small business project founded on a long tradition of family wine growing and winemaking. The goal was to launch production of Albariño wines to meet the growing demand from the region.
TASTING NOTES: Bright light golden color with a light fizz. Pure and aromatic nose with notes of crushed apple, herbs, lime and lemongrass. Light to medium weight, fresh and pure with youthful fruit, and a balanced and medium to long finish.
FOOD PAIRINGS: Albariño wines are extremely food-friendly due to their high acidity and low alcohol profile. Fish and shellfish pair very well with Albariño as do green herbs and salads. Albariño wine will also pair nicely with both hard and soft cheeses like Burrata and Manchego.
