This wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation, as do all the wines. It is the only wine in the line-up that fully ferments in stainless steel where it spends one year on its fine lees. It is a crisp, fresh, aperitif-style Grüner that is salty and easy to drink.

 

TASTING NOTES: This charming Grüner shows a mix of white raspberry and lemon, with baking spice notes gliding along the edges. It features a moderately long finish, with a touch of ripe melon hanging on at the end.

 

FOOD PAIRINGS: Grüner Veltliner is crisp and a perfect palate cleanser for richly flavored foods. While Grüner wines pair with classic Austrian dishes like sautéed kidneys, its newfound glory is with Asian spices. It’s also one of the few still wines that hold up against challenging vegetable fare such as artichoke and grilled asparagus.
